Once your DressBox returns to the Studio, our team will reach out to schedule your Live Design Consultation. Together you and your designer will confirm your heirloom Wishlist, place your actual order, and discuss any garment design preferences. After payment, your dress moves into the Design Que.

How does it work?

Step 1 - Order Your Kit

Add your robe and DressBox to your cart. 

Once you checkout we’ll send you the DressBox — a secure, waterproof, lockable container with a prepaid label, so you can send your gown without worry.

Every box includes insurance and tracking, because we understand just how precious your dress is.

Step 2 - Book your consultation

Once your dress arrives at our studio, our expert designers work closely with you to honor its most meaningful features — the lace you loved, the beading that caught the light, the fabric that made you feel beautiful.

Together, we’ll plan how to transform it into the perfect robe or keepsake set.

Step 3 - We get to work

Guided by your vision from our consultation, our team carefully begins the journey of reimagining your cherished dress into a new heirloom for your daughter.

Step 4 - You surprise her

After our talented sewing team works their magic, your one-of-a-kind designs will be ready to unbox!

Orders are typically delivered about 15 weeks after your dress arrives at our studio—though rush processing may be available upon request.

What is a DressBox?

Our DressBox is a waterproof, lockable, reusable container designed to keep your dress safe as it makes its way to our studio. We provide a pre-addressed mailing label, so all you have to do is slip your dress into the DressBox and send it back our way.

The DressBox cost covers shipping, insurance, your Design Consult - and six months of extra fabric safekeeping so you can make more heirlooms over time.

How do I pack and ship my dress?

We've made shipping easy with our custom-designed DressBox. We'll send it right to your address and include a pre-addressed return label, so all you have to do follow the enclosed directions to place your dress inside.

How long does the process take?

The process can take up to 15 weeks from your design call, after your dress arrives at our HQ.

Expedited delivery may be available for an additional investment.

What if my dress has discoloration or damage?

No worries! Our design team often works around small areas of damage.

We also offer in-house eco-friendly fabric care and cleaning services as an option. This $100 cost can be added during your design call.

How much can be made from my dress?

Our expert Graceful Sewers are able to make several beautiful heirloom products from just about any dress! And our supplemental satin options make it easy to extend your dress or maximize the transformation of heavily damaged or low fabric dresses.
